I learned a long time ago that I am better off to hire professional people who are knowledgeable in areas where I am not. I tried to do something where I lacked the expertise and it cost me a bunch of money. With the internet, homeowners can find lots of information on selling their home but they still lack the MLS and tried and true loan officers for the buyers along with being able to give their buyers a list of others needed in the transaction, like inspectors, etc. I never blame a homeowner for wanting to save the commission but selling your own home is not for everyone.
